Next Stop Oxford Street
18/09/2006

Leading Northern Ireland training and recruitment specialist, Rutledge Joblink have opened up an office in the bustling heartland of London's West End.

The new premises in Oxford Street, sees the company expand its network yet again, not only in terms of geography, but also in terms of its business offering.

'We had identified London as a key area for us some time ago, but it was important to wait for the right location. In London, prime location is essential. Oxford Street is a hub for the recruitment and training industry. It's well served by transport and as you can imagine it enjoys a tremendous amount of passing traffic. But most importantly, it is a central location to some of our key clients, and ultimately means that we can offer greater levels of service.' Said Jonathan Doherty, Managing Director of Rutledge Joblink.

As well as new premises, a new branch manager has been put in place to oversee the London operation. Kelly Edwards has worked in the recruitment industry for many years and is delighted to be joining the company.

'This is a great opportunity for me personally. When I first met with Jonathan, I was immediately impressed with their attitude, focus and view of where they want to take the business here. Through their existing network, they can offer superb support, whilst at the same time they give me the flexibility to run the business here as it needs to be. The London market is unique in many respects and I think being here will be a great opportunity for both myself and for Rutledge Joblink.

Rutledge Joblink specialise in temporary and permanent recruitment within the healthcare, industrial and international recruitment sectors as well as offering vocational training expertise in a range of occupations funded by the Department for Employment and Learning. They currently have 20 branches throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland and have established offices in Manilla and Dubai. The Oxford Street office will service key London clients, mainly in the Retail and Service sectors, and will also act as a recruitment station for other projects currently being undertaken by the Group:

'We have recently begun work on a contract in the United States within the healthcare sector. This is a contract of great scale and significance and our Oxford Street location gives us a great opportunity to service this to the highest of standards. It also puts us in a position where we can compete for other international contracts and that ultimately, is where we want to be 'added Doherty.
