Job Skills New Deal Private Training Training for Success

Rutledge Joblink has been providing governement sponsored vocational training for young people and adults since 1989. The company offers this service through a network of 14 branches across Nothern Ireland. The primary aim of the programme is to assist people entering or returning to the labour market.

These structured training programmes provide the candidates with valuable work experience where they can learn new skills and also gain a recognised vocational qualification.

Jobskills traineeship
A programme funded by the Department for Employment and Learning (DEL) giving young people the opportunity to transfer from school to the world of work for the first time. To qualify, trainees must be 16 or 17 years of age which entitles them to a training period of 65 or 78 weeks, depending on occupational area. During this time trainees work towards an NVQ Level 2 qualification in their chosen occupational area. Once on the training programme the young person is paid a weekly training allowance and travel expenses.
