A programme funded by the Department for Employment and Learning (DEL) giving young people the opportunity to transfer from school to the world of work for the first time. During this time trainees work towards an NVQ Level 2 qualification in their chosen occupational area. Once on the training programme the young person is paid a weekly training allowance and travel expenses.
